 Trochesset Built Boats – Early 20th Century

 

The craftsmanship and innate skill of Joseph Trochesset showed even in his earliest attempts at boat-building.  These boats were all built for his father-in-law, Peter Quave, for use in his seafood business which was located in present day D’Iberville.

Ruth, a schooner built in 1907 with the following measurements:  length 47.6 feet, breadth 17.0 feet, depth 3.3 feet.  It possessed one deck, two masts and weighed 16 gross tons.
