GERALD MAVAR

Gerald Mavar, a wooden hull, Biloxi lugger built in 1947 for the Mavar Shrimp and Oyster Company by the Mavar Boat Company and had the following dimensions:  length 51.3 feet, breadth 17.5 feet, depth 4.4 feet.  The vessel weighed 31 gross, 25 net tons and had a 165 horsepower engine.  Subsequent owners include Joseph Couture.  It is noted that the vessel was later renamed the Captain Norman.
