BIRDIE MAE

Built in 1950 by Manuel Skinner, Birdie Mae was a wooden hull Biloxi Lugger with the following dimensions:  length 35.3 feet, breadth 12.4 feet and depth 3.7 feet.  It was powered by a 110-horsepower engine and weighed 10 gross, 7 net tons. Skinner captained the boat and named it for his daughter, Birdie Mae Skinner.  Known owners include Manuel Skinner and Helen Grace Gollott.
